Green Living Science provides field trips and tours of Recycle Here, the City of Detroit’s drop off recycling facility, as well as the Lincoln Street Art Park during the months of March to November.

Tour Details: Bring materials to recycle and receive an in depth explanation of how to recycle in the City of Detroit. By visiting the recycling center and hearing how Detroit processes waste, students learn how they can make changes in their home to reduce their impact on the environment. Visit for a list of what can be recycled.

Tour includes a visit to the Lincoln Street Art Park to learn how the process of “reuse” has been used to clean up an illegal dumping spot and transformed it into an art park/gathering space.
